Best ski holidays for partying

Après ski is a huge part of ski culture and is a must do after a long day on the slopes. UK skiers and snowboarders see it being just as essential as the skiing and boarding itself as it continues to grow. Expect to sink a lot of shots and steins of beers whilst dancing on tables in your ski boots to absurdly loud euro pop.

Iglu Ski in Val Thorens

Val Thorens, France

It is fair to say that the highest resort in the Three Valleys and in Europe is one of the liveliest après resorts with a large variety of bars on offer. The most popular venue is La Folie Douce where you can refuel with a delicious, yet expensive, lunch at La Fruitiere next door before après carnage at Folie. Dick’s Tea Bar, the very British Frog and Roastbeef, Le Saloon and Bar 360 are other prevalent spots. Le Malaysia claiming to have the largest dancefloor in the Alps is the all-nighter option as it is open from 10:30pm to 4am. VT attracts university ski trips and ski clubs so be prepared to keep up with the youth!

Mooserwirt St Anton

Mayrhofen, Austria

The Pilzbar is where it begins with an umbrella bar and terrace located at the top of the Penken gondola. When back down in town Scotland Yard close to the centre serves UK beer with a pubby atmosphere whilst Bruck’n Stadl delivers the best party with the nutty-but-brilliant euro-pop party atmosphere. The Arena Club in the Hotel Strass is seen as one of the resorts best club scenes. Mayrhofen is known for its week-long Snowbombing festival in the spring. It is Europe’s largest music festival in the snow with past headliners such as Fatboy Slim and Dizzee Rascal.
