The ultimate ski festival rising to the top of every students must do list. Rise festival is a highly popular music festival among the uni crowd, combining award winning acts, upcoming artists and adventure activities for an atmosphere like no other. This week long festival is located in the glacier resort of Les Deux Alpes. The party doesn't stop and the skiing doesn't stop with afterparties until 5am and guaranteed snow catering for all abilities.

Les Deux Alpes resort
A long reigning resort, Les Deux Alpes is the second oldest ski resort in France yet still one of the most forward thinking with its modern lift system and world’s fastest gondola. The resort has a lot going for it with its award winning snow park, 220km of slopes and the largest skiable glacier. Not to mention as well as the fantastic snow conditions, it's south facing slopes means blue bird days a plenty.
The Festival
Rise brings partying in the mountains to whole new level, born from a vision of creating a festival to truly feel free and adventurous in a world class resort and scenic setting. The whole resort is a party for the week! The festival takes over the resort nightlife with its buzzing après ski scene from the mountain top to the village streets along with an impressive stage and arena, snowglobe and ice disco keeping the party going all night long.

Arenas - The Main Stage hosts opening and closing parties and The Arena is an indoor arena which holds three nights of music.
What else is happening- The Arena this year is featuring the hugely popular and raucous Bongo Bingo sessions! Other activities include apres ski parties from 3pm as well as restuarants and cosy bars in the festival village, husky safaris, paragliding, glacier yoga, alpine helicopter rides and snowmobiling.

Getting there
For a quick and easy route to Rise Festival, flying to Les Deux Alpes is probably your best bet. Fly to Grenoble (1hr 45mins transfer), Chambery (2 hr transfer) or Lyon (2hrs 20 mins transfer). Other transportation options include coach travel or car share with some friends and take the ferry.
