Meribel ski holidays 'among most popular'

Meribel ski holidays 'among most popular' Ski holidays in Meribel are among the most popular winter sports breaks among British tourists, it has been noted.

Frances Tuke, PR Manager for the Association of British Travel Agents, remarked that France is the top destination for ski breaks by UK travellers, with destinations such as Meribel being easy and convenient to access.

"The convenience and the sheer scale of the resorts" make Meribel ski holidays and other French destinations so popular with Britons, Ms Tuke said.

She added that Christmas, New Year and particularly February half-term are the most common times of year for ski breaks.

"The month of February is very popular because many of the French schools are off throughout the month, so that is the peak season really."

Situated at the centre of the Three Valleys ski area, ski holidays in Meribel are renowned for the resort's state-of-the-art lift system and ability to cater to all levels of skill.
