Banff is open for winter 2017/18

Banff is open for winter 2017/18

After an incredible start to winter with huge snowfalls, Banff Sunshine, Lake Louise and Mount Norquay are all open. All three resorts in the Banff - Lake Louise ski area will continue to expand operations and terrain openings over the coming days and weeks.

Mount Norquay became the first ski resort in Canada to open when the resort started spinning its lifts on 3rd November. Banff Sunshine opened on Wednesday 8th November and Lake Louise Ski Resort opened on Tuesday, November 7th.

Resorts in Alberta have had a fantastic few seasons and average 30 feet of snow each season. The 3 resorts share 8000 acres of skiing and boast feather-light ‘champagne’ powder for amazing off piste experiences.

Here’s a look at the amazing start of season snow conditions… (be prepared for some serious snow envy!)
