Corsican Festival in Chamonix

Corsican Festival in Chamonix An exciting food and culture festival is set to take place in France this weekend, which could be of interest to those taking ski holidays in Chamonix.

From Friday April 11th until Sunday April 13th 2008, Corsican Festival will take place in the popular ski resort of Chamonix.

On the Friday, Corsica, a film realised by the Corsica tourist agency, will be shown before Josephina performs in concert. This will be followed by an official festival reception.

More free concerts will take place on the Saturday with a special event being the opening of the exhibition of the Corsican artist Chisa at the Casino Barriere Chamonix's - Salon Napoleon.

Corsican dancing will take place on the Sunday while authentic Corsican cuisine will be available for the duration of the festival.

The Ski Club of Great Britain recently reported that skiing in Chamonix is set to remain open until May 8th 2008.
