Early season snow is "fantastic"

Early season snow is "fantastic" Snowfall in the early stages of the 2007-08 ski season has been lauded as "fantastic" by one commentator.

According to Ski Famille, there has been "good" snow cover across many Alpine resorts while the Mont Blanc region has also fared well from favourable snow conditions.

Furthermore, Ski Famille has lauded it as "one of the best starts to the ski season in memory", noting that the season could be great for those on family ski holidays.

"We had great snowfalls last week giving superb coverage to all slopes. This week has stayed cold but the sun is now shining. Families [arriving] for Christmas look set to have an exceptional holiday," Chris Thompson, managing director for the company, commented.

It was recently reported by the Association of British Travel Agents (Abta) that the early season Alp snow suggests that the coming ski season will be "one of the best" seen in a while.

Novinite reports that according to Abta, France has overtaken Austria as the most popular ski holiday destination in Europe.
