Europe sees great snowfall

Europe sees great snowfall Over the past week, those on European ski holidays will have benefited from increased snowfall.

According to Ski Club of Great Britain, resorts in France, Switzerland, Austria and Italy have been among those to receive ample snow fall.

A "fair share" of new snow fell on resorts in France such as Alpe d'Huez and Flaine, with flurries falling midweek.

In Les Arcs, temperatures dropped towards the middle of last week while a "good amount" of fresh snow was reported to have fallen, according to Ski Club information manager Alyn Morgan who was skiing in Les Arcs until this Saturday.

Les Arcs is located in Bourg-Saint-Maurice in France and is situated as villages known as Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950 and Arc 2000.

Snow also fell on the ski resorts of Andermatt, Verbier, St Mortiz, Pontresina and Saas-Fee.
