Full On February Snowfall in Europe

This week the snow is making a real comeback in Europe. After a light dusting over the last week or so some serious powder is making its way across the Alps. Italy is boating nearly half a metre and France is looking forward to an appreciated 20cm plus.

The Dolomites is the place to be this week, Arabba is boasting 41cm of fresh snow, Canazei is topping up with 44cm and Selva will benefit from a decent 34cm of snowfall. Passo Tonale is having a great week with 35cm of fresh snow and conditions in the Milky are looking great with Sauze d'Oulx and Sestriere all set for 24cm over the next 5 days.

Feb Snowfall

Switzerland is boasting a week of fantastic conditions and looks set for a fantastic half term. The chocolate box resort of Saas Fee is anticipating 38cm on the slopes and rooftops with Zermatt and St. Moritz also looking at over 30cm of fresh powder this week. Flims Laax, Murren and Verbier are all as set for 24cm, with most Swiss resorts looking at upwards of 20cm of snow by the weekend.

Feb Snowfall

France will be befitting from some welcome snowfall and mixed with the high altitude and snow cannons, will make for some great skiing over this week and half term. The family friendly resorts of Serre Chevalier and Alpe d'Huez should be seeing 23cm and 18cm respectively. The popular and world class resorts of Meribel, Courchevel and Val d'Isere are all expecting 20cm as are the glacial resort of Val Thorens, Tignes and Les Arcs.

Austria is also set for double figure snowfall with St. Anton welcoming a 10cm top up, followed by Obergurgl and Ischgl with between 10 and 15cm on its way. To finish things off Spain's Formigal is boasting 18cm and Andorra will enjoy a light dusting over the next few days.
