Madonna world championship event to dazzle spectators

Madonna world championship event to dazzle spectators Winter sports fans lucky enough to be enjoying a ski holiday in Madonna di Campiglio will surely have seen some fantastic action this week, as part of the 11th FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships.

The event, which was rescheduled from January due to a lack of snow on the original date, culminates in Saturday's dual moguls and aerials, which are sure to be packed with exciting action for anyone on a ski holiday in Madonna di Campiglio to experience first hand.

"We can look forward to an exciting celebration of skiing, including awarding the second FIS championship titles in ski cross, the latest event to be included in the Olympic winter programme," said FIS President Gian Franco Kasper.

More than 24 nations are represented at the Madonna di Campiglio stage of the Freestyle World Ski Championships, meaning crowds are sure to see many different styles as well as an intense level of competition.

Resorts in Japan, Norway and Switzerland are set to host stages of the world championships later this month.
