November Verbier opening 'does not disappoint'

November Verbier opening 'does not disappoint' This weekend saw holidaymakers jetting off for ski holidays in Verbier as the resort opened for the first skiing of the season.

As of November 17th, the Lac des Vaux, La Chaux and Attelas ski runs are open for skiing at weekends while the cablecar running between Le Chable and Verbier will also be open for business.

Toby Mallock, Commercial Manager for the resort's ski and snowboard school, European Snowsport, summed up the snow conditions on Verbier's opening weekend to the Ski Club of Great Britain as "powder, powder and more powder".

Mr Mallock added that for ski-lovers, opening weekend at Verbier "didn't disappoint".

"Put it this way, nobody could remember an opening day where you could get face shots when you dropped off the sides of Lac des Vaux. And some of those guys have been coming to the opening day for years," he continued.

From December 1st, the resort's slopes will be open all week for the enjoyment of those on Verbier ski holidays.
