Snow Report | 01 Apr 2014

Snow Report | 01 Apr 2014 After last week’s snow fall, most European resorts are still experiencing great snow conditions.  With plenty of bluebird days and more sprinklings of snow forecast in some resorts, now’s a great time to hit up the mountains for a spot of last minute Spring skiing.

Switzerland still have great skiing on offer, with piste quality in Zermatt reported as being in excellent condition and another 25cm of snow forecast over the next 9 days.  Saas Fee are also boasting some excellent piste conditions and are forecast another 20cm of snow over the next 9 days.  Andermatt is forecast  11cm of snow in the coming week, Zinal 9cm, Verbier 9cm and Crans Montana 5cm.

Over in Austria the higher altitude resort of Kaunertal is forecast 5cm of snow over the next week, which will top up the already excellent piste conditions.  Light dustings are predicted in Obergurgl and Solden and excellent snow quality is expected.  Italy still have some great piste conditions, with Cervinia expecting 22cm of snow in the next 9 days, Gressoney 19cm and Passo Tonale 5cm.

Things are looking good over in France with Val d’Isere expecting 24cm of snow in the next 9 days, Tignes 22cm and Les Deux Alpes 4cm.  Most other French resorts will receive light top ups and the majority of pistes are reported as being in either good or excellent condition.
