Snow Report | 05 Jan 2017 Winter has returned to the Alps and we are delighted to see up to 56 cm of snowfall already in parts of Austria! As we reported earlier in the week, Austria and Switzerland are forecast to receive the best of the snowfall this week, with up to 100 cm predicted. This week already there are reports of up to 56 cm at Lech and on the Hintertux glacier near Mayrhofen!

Featured ski resorts in France got a surprise overnight where up to 15cm of snow has fallen in many areas, including Val Thorens, Val d’Isere and Flaine. More good news… further snowfall is in the forecast!

If you are craving deep pow, the USA is where you should set your sights. Resorts in North America have had a cracking start to the season with many areas topping over 500 cm of snow already! And there are no signs of stopping, Mammoth has another 293 cm of snowfall in the forecast over the 9 days – unbelievable, right?
