Snow Report | 09 Nov 2014: Top 5 Photos from this Week

Snow Report | 09 Nov 2014: Top 5 Photos from this Week The Alps was blessed again this week with the 2nd huge snowfall of the winter season. 2 weeks ago Austria received the better of the first dump of snow with up to 80cm of freshies, and once again the Austrian Alps was favoured by the snow gods with up to a metre of snow falling in some ski areas.

Team GB were over in Austria this week making the most of the early season pow.

Whilst ski resorts in the USA are postponing their open days due to poor snow conditions, Verbier in Switzerland is taking full advantage of the fresh snow and opening their slopes to the public this weekend.

Resorts in France were covered in a blanket of white snow again; Avoriaz received 40cm of snow transforming the resort into a winter wonderland.

Many resorts don’t actually open until the start of December, so fingers crossed this early snow will make a solid base for the start of the season.

Even Scotland got a piece of the snowy action with a good amount of snow in Cairngorm.
