Advanced and intermediate skiers may be the most likely to appreciate a trip to St Anton due to the location's varied terrain, it has been suggested.The Daily Telegraph highlights that a number of free ski buses run from the Austrian destination, allowing ski fans to hit the slopes in nearby Stuben, Zurs and Lech.
Meanwhile, St Anton benefits from large amounts of heavy snowfall, alongside improvements being carried out to the lift systems to mean more time is spent skiing rather than waiting around and queuing up.
As well as the host of skiing options, the publication notes that the area is "full of character", particularly through a stretch of traditional-style buildings present on a traffic-less main street.
Additionally, conditions are known to still be good at the end of the ski season in April with vast amounts of fresh powder on display.
St Anton is most typically known as being the host of the 2001 Alpine World Ski Championships, which was the 36th instalment of the competition.
