The New Winter Season is coming 

Opening Party
After months of eager anticipation and laborious wait, the moment will come for skiers and snow boarders on Friday 5th December, which marks the start of winter and the day when St Anton bursts to life for a sensational new ski season. The opening weekend will be jam packed with the following events: ‘St Anton Ski Open’ presents a star-studded concert headlined by German pop-rock band and World Music Award Winners "The BossHoss", Austrian rock band “The Weight” and renowned music veterans “Manfred Mann’s Earth Band”, who will be performing on the 6th December. Take to the wheel of a brand new Audi sports car and navigate your way around the mountainous terrain of St Anton free of charge on all three “Stanton Ski Open” days.

Sports and Climbing Centre
Interested in horizontal and vertical sports? Arl Rock Climbing facilities in St Anton is just the place to try your hand at up to 30 diverse routes of varying levels of difficulty that can be climbed outdoor; indoor facilities include a bouldering area covering 80 square metres and 65 climbing routes in degrees of difficulty ranging from 3 to 9. Fancy taking a break from the slopes? Head to St Anton’s sports centre, it comes newly equipped with a variety of excellent indoor sporting activities such as, tennis, volleyball, squash and bowling.

Fine Dining on the Alps
The action doesn’t only take place of the slopes in St Anton; with its wide selection of excellent restaurants with cuisine that will cater for all appetite’s, leaving you will a culinary experience to savour. This hasn’t gone unnoticed over the years and St. Anton can again celebrate as five of its restaurants have again been awarded Toques by the acclaimed Gault Millau Restaurant Guide. Die Stube, Verwallstube, The Restaurant, Hopiz Alm and Newcomer of the year 2014 Raffl’s. St Anton now boasts six toques in total and 71 coveted Gault-Millau points.

World Snow Volleyball Tour 2015 
Extreme sport, party atmosphere, combined with snow, mountain air and lots of adrenalin! It sounds like time to welcome back the Snow Volleyball World Tour in April. The international volleyball elite will be competing in customary style at the top station of the Rendl lifts at 2,030m above sea level for the sought after title of ‘King of the Snow 2015’.

Downhill-Delight: “The White Thrill”
The cult classic marks an end to the ski season at the famous Austrian resort, testing the physical and mental demands of its eager participants. Every year more avid participants are drawn back to compete. This one of a kind challenge, begins with a mass start like no other, which sees an astonishing, 555 participants set off at once. Nine kilometres of unprepared slopes, 1,300 metres in altitude difference and a tough150 metre ascent take the most hard-core amateurs and even pros to their absolute physical limits. This great spectacle is not one to miss!
