Three Valleys X-Wing Rally 'a success'

Three Valleys X-Wing Rally 'a success' The recent Three Valleys X-Wing Rally that took place in Val Thorens has been described as a success.

Writing for Valthonet.com, local reporter Debbie Priestley said a host of skiers and snowboarders took part in the competition, which included a variety of events such as freeriding, a parallel slalom and a Big Air bag.

Contestants were able to compete as professionals, amateurs or families.

On arrival, participants were treated to a buffet lunch, while the conclusion of events saw prizes - such as a new set of skis - awarded.

The most recent weather report for the resort suggests there will be snowfalls of up to 19cm over the next few days.

When not taking to the piste, visitors to Val Thorens can catch a film at the local cinema, go for a swim in the indoor pool or buy some souvenirs in the range of shops.
