Tignes "filling up quickly"

Tignes "filling up quickly" People looking to enjoy a quiet ski holiday in Tignes had better book their flights soon, as the resort is said to be "filling up quickly".

According to the Ski Club of Great Britain, great snow conditions at the resort mean that skiers and snowboarders are hitting the slopes with a vengeance.

Simon Henwood, Resort Operations Manager of Ski Club Tignes, told the Ski Club of Great Britain that there is "snow, snow and more snow" on the mountains of Tignes.

"This is my sixth time running the reps course and I've never seen anything like it. Over the weekend we had almost one metre of fresh snow," he commented.

Those looking to take family ski holidays in Tignes will be pleased to know that according to Mr Henwood, the conditions are "great for learning". Powder skiing is also reported to be good at the resort.

Halifax recently reported that 19 per cent of Britons intend to leave their homes to travel overseas and celebrate Christmas this year - a proportion of which will go skiing.
