Clean and comfortable - but needs an upgrade - 08/04/2015

We stayed over the Easter weekend. The chalet is ideally located in Morzine, the rooms clean and the staff were great. Good food and comfy sofas. But, a total refurbishment is well overdue. The curtain in our room had only 3 hooks, the window doors were tricky to open which made us concerned if there had been a fire and the walls and carpet desperately need to be refreshed.

Surprisingly Good - 15/02/2015

Went to The Chalet Club Les Gourmet with very low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. Granted this is not a five star establishment. But what an absolute bargain, half board, flights and transfers for two for less than £750 for three nights which gave us three and a half days skiing. Would not hesitate to use this hotel again. Thanks yet again for a great holiday.

Last hurrah in morzine! - 25/04/2014
Overall

We booked at the last minute to get the last of the spring snow and 5 days sunshine. The snow was great until about 2 but with early starts it worked very well. Pick up from the airport was prompt and the driver very friendly and helpful. This chalet is very quaint and old, ideally located, close to both lifts and the bus so there was a huge area to ski. The staff were really friendly and helpful, especially the chef who looked after us ( as vegetarians) soooo well. Big medal for her! Yes, the rooms are basic and the furniture and bathrooms are tired but somehow this added to the overall alpine charm and the soft squashy sofas were just right at the end of a long day. My only criticism, It was the last week of the season with lots of saisonniere leaving parties so we had a couple of late breakfasts as the staff were a teeny bit hungover which was frustrating as we needed early starts to get the best of the snow, but it's a small moan because generally , they did their best to make us welcome and comfortable. We loved the late airport transfer enabling us to get in another full days skiing. Will will certainly be back with you guys next year- such good value. Thanks!
