Great Location and Skiing, lacking Apres Ski - 04/02/2019
Overall

As a group of 8, with 6 skiers of varying standard, we found the Chalet Hotel as great location, although limited blue runs at Kuthai for our starting standard. Nearby Hochoetz was part of the lift pass area and only a short regular bus away, which suited our group's initial standards. The skiing here was great with a few blues, but loads of nice reds (No 9 / 5 was a favourite). Midway through the week we welcomed the challenge of the multi red slopes Kuthai and it was great, long and challenging but with good relief when needed. I would suggest not a resort for beginners, although slopes were not busy and most nice and wide. The snow was amazing and rge scenery as good as it gets. The chalet was fairly basic, but clean and good value for money. The chalet staff (Inghams) were very nice and helpful, [Tom was great, Kess and Faye very nice]. However the food was not that great, cooked breakfast ok, but evening meal was lacking, such that we went out for a couple of nights. We were disappointed with the Apres Ski as resort not that lively. We did have a good night at the Dorfstadl with a great local pair of singers and enjoyed the apres ski sun at the Astoria bar on the slopes, but not a lot else. Inghams and Iglu were good, but should have booked the ski hire earlier and took the saving offered (expired when our group were ready to book!) Overall a great week and good value.

Chalet Hotel Elisabeth - 13/02/2018
Overall

We stayed at Chalet Hotel Elisabeth in Jan 2014. it was so good that we returned in Jan 2015,when it was just as good. In fact,as good as the Mooshaus, where we had stayed in 2013. We returned this year and felt that there was a distinct lack of leadership at the chalet. The rooms were clean and comfortable and individually the young staff were pleasant and polite. However, we felt that they lacked guidance and training from management. Breakfast time was disorganised with tables not reset, and with guests left waiting for cutlery, milk etc.etc. Kitchen staff ,some wearing grubby aprons, ate their breakfast in the dining room before guests had left the room. Evening meals varied, some were good others disappointing...certainly not the standard of our previous visits. Managers in previous years circulated and made guests feel welcome. This time the manager spent most of her time with one small group of guests, ignoring the rest. Would think twice about returning or recommending to others after this visit.

Great Hotel, not for beginners - 03/04/2017
Overall

March 2017 - Can't fault the Hotel, Inghams staff do a wonderful job, good food, clean and very welcoming. Great location if you are an intermediate and there's the rub. The first chair and Ski School may be right outside but a lack of Blue runs do make it hard for beginners to progress. All runs back to the hotel on both sides of the road are red and have steep parts. The linked resort by free ski bus is better it must be said. Khurtai itself very quiet, not a party resort.

Lovely hotel run by a fantastic team - 30/01/2017
Overall

The hotel is in a great location and the staff were a wonderful, united team. We had an excellent time, the food was superb and the weather and snow conditions were great. The only downside was that, as seen in earlier reviews, Kuhtai is best for skiers of good intermediate standard. Several of our group were of lower intermediate ability and we found that Hochoetz was more suited to them. Once we found the blue slopes in Hochoetz, it was possible for lower intermediates to ski with more confidence.

Great valule hotel - 29/12/2015
Overall

A Great value hotel, Ski in ski out. with orzt on the lift pass as well. enough ski-ing for a weeks Break. This is where the TV programme jump is Located. Not good for begginers at all. No nursery slopes for adults or youngsters. Very expensive in the one store for things but with a half hour bus ride to Ortz free there is all you need at very good prices. enjoy.
