Oval Ski Club annual holiday - 25/04/2013
Overall

I've been organising a large ski club's annual holiday for 14 years. The group consists of 50+ people of various ages, from 4 to pushing 70. We have been to many resorts both in Europe and North America. This year's holiday to St.Christoph, Austria was excellent, and in most Club member's opinion was up at the top of the list when compared to previous brilliant Club holidays. The Chalet Hotel St. Christoph, was excellent; the food, staff, facilities, location were exemplary. The only downside (for some) was the village of St.Christoph was a bit quiet for some of the younger party animals in the group. That said the amazing apres ski of St. Anton is only a 15 min bus ride away. Beware however there are regular busses until around 10:00pm - Miss that and you have to wait until after 1:00am, or get an expensive taxi home. The Arlberg ski area is great (we were there at Easter 2013)- Not as extensive as the large French ski areas, nor as well linked up. You have to get a bus to the Lech/ Zurs ski area (covered by the lift pass) - We had a couple of excellent days there. It is well worth the short 15 min bus ride (the bus is not covered by your pass and costs around 3.50€ each way). A little tip for the return trip from Lech - To avoid the mass brawl fighting to get the limited number of places on the bus - Get the bus from the stop before the centre of the village (walk for 5 mins downhill to the post office - there is even a nice Italian cafe on the opposite side of the road to the bus stop to get some well earned liquid refreshment - Much quieter than the bun fight at the more trendy, but expensive bars at the foot of the pistes.) All in all I can definitely recommend the Arlberg ski area, and Chalet hotel St.Christoph. I know my recommendation will be echoed by the other 54 people in our party. Definite thumbs up.

Great hotel - 01/04/2014
Overall

Spent a fantastic week (22/3/14) at the Chalet Hotel St Christoph. Everything was more than I expected from the friendly welcome by Klaus and his staff to the fabulous meals prepared each night. The rooms were spacious and had all you needed for a comfortable stay. The sauna and swimming pool were great to unwind in and relieve tired muscles. The skiing was also excellent as we had a lot of snow on the first two evenings which set the week up. As from Tuesday onwards the skies cleared and the sun came out. Being above St Anton at 1800m the conditions were always good going home which is great when you are tired after a long day. Didn't miss the night life of St Anton as met people during tea or at pre dinner drinks. Apres ski in St Anton was possible as there were buses that got you ack before dinner. I would definitely go back to St Christoph which is not something I normally do..

Ski the Arlberg & stay in luxury with the personal touch! - 02/02/2015
Overall

We've always highly rated the skiing in the Arlberg & thanks to Iglu Ski this year we found a little gem of a hotel managed by a very special 'Klaus' & his team of helpers, in St Christoph. We have never been made so welcomed & well-looked after in any ski accommodation as at this chalet hotel. The only fault with the holiday was that we endured 4 days of snow & 2 days of sun - something which had it been in Klaus's power to change would have been the other way around. We would dearly love to go back again this season for a second chance of 6 days skiing in the sun & another fine dose of pampering by Klaus & his team - a first in 25 years of skiing!!

Skiing in the Arlberg - 09/02/2015
Overall

Excellent Chalet Hotel, perfectly positioned next to lift and you can ski back to bootroom door. Good food and very friendly. Skied the whole of St Anton area and white ring near Lech. Sonnenkopf is worth visiting for the day. Give Mainsee restaurant in St Christophe a miss. We went their on the chalet staff day off unfortunately.
