Amazing End to an Amazing Winter - 02/05/2013
Overall

Winter 2012/13 will certainly go down in history as one of the great ones for good, consistent snowfalls. Not so much for bluebird days, but that's the trade-off. If you were game enough to take a punt on a late season ski trip you would have been greatly rewarded. The week commencing Monday 15 April gave us four days of blue skies, mild temperatures and easy, cruisey spring skiing. On a snow base that was over one metre at 1800m, there was no sign of this massive cover wearing thin. Like any Spring skiing though, afternoons are best spent on a sun terrace, and Club Med Aime La Plagne has one of the greats. You can ski up to within two metres of a table set up for lunch, then while away the rest of the afternoon eating, drinking and soaking up the sun. Bliss! Club Med Aime La Plagne is clearly very popular with families, with a fantastic magic carpet beginners area within one minute's walk of the ski room and plenty of activities in-house for the youngsters. Rooms are compact and functional, with a limited number of larger rooms with balconies available to those who book early.

Review Club Med Aime La Plagne ID #34187661 - 17/04/2011
Overall

Club Med is geared to families with younger children. Before having children we were regular skiers then took a 5 year break until our oldest (now 4) was old enough for lessons. Being used to chalet holidays I was a little sceptical about being in a big hotel on an all-inclusive deal but I must say I was turned around by the quality and organisation of the holiday. For the adults it's great to be able to leave your kids in the kids clubs all day so you can take off skiing. In that regard Aime La Plagne is well connected into the huge La Plagne ski area. The hotel is ski-in ski-out with good runs both above and below. It's high and gets good snow conditions. In the evenings the food is superb - massive choice of real gourmet French cuisine, even fresh oysters one night! The wine is free and although basic is fine. For the kids there are organised lessons and they are well looked after. My son was quite happy in his class and really enjoyed his first week of skiing. The only downsides are that the hotel is 80% French, although the instructors in the kids ski school do speak English and there were 2-3 other English kids in my son's group. So it wasn't a problem. I also had lessons and it was a purely English-speaking group. So don't let language put you off. Also Aime La Plagne is a pretty uninspiring resort with just a few big concrete hotel blocks and that's it. There are a few shops but if you like your apres ski and wondering round old alpine village centres then try elsewhere, I would thoroughly recommend this holiday if you have young children, want good skiiing (without the children!) and are not worried about apres ski.

Paradiski Ski in & out - 24/04/2014
Overall

Club Med Aime La Plagne is situated in a quiet location of La Plagne overlooking Plagne Centre. Which is a few minutes walk downhill, a bit longer on the way back. It is in a great ski area for families as it offers a great choice of skiing to suit all ages and abilities. The Club Med has its own sun terrace which is a great place to unwind and watch the skiers go by In La Plagne there is the famous Bobsleigh run worth a visit in Plagne Bellecote the outdoor pool both a short bus ride away free with lift pass. The rooms above the sun terrace offer great views of the slopes. There is a boot room in the basement which is very convenient as it leads directly onto the slopes. The dinning area which is spread over three floors & the bar are located on the ground floor . Children will enjoy the kids clubs and the activities on offer. The hotel itself offers a great value holiday &an opportunity to ski one of the biggest ski areas in France. The Club Med pass covers La Plagne only but can be upgraded, if you fancy a ride in the famous double decker Vanoise express to view Les Arc journey time 7 - 10minutes

Fantastic location, fantastic value - 25/08/2016
Overall

Hard to beat the location of this property, with ski-in ski-out convenience. Especially being able to ski almost back on to the sun deck for lunch every day. Standard rooms are small but fine for a couple. Upgraded rooms give you more space and views. This place is often great value for single skiers, with little or no under-occupancy charges.

Great week - 20/03/2019
Overall

A group of adults, varying ski abilities, had a week in March at Club Med Aime La Plagne. Hotel is a a bit tired, but worked for us. Good location, easy access to the slopes. We were a bit unlucky with the weather so the glacier was closed all week, which meant the rest of resort was busy. Had to get through Plagne centre early, but that's just planning. Loads of lovely blue slopes, great place for beginners and intermediates. The main downside was clubmed lift pass - this has always been all resort, but this year they have changed it to just the resort staying in, so we weren't able to go to Les Arcs. We were not told about this, so only found out whilst trying to cross over. Not great! Clubmed admin is always very frustrating, Iglu were in my experience very helpful and helped us navigate this. Not to mention their awareness of hotels and resorts, which was brilliant, would def recommend Iglu to book through!
