Club Med Peisey-Vallandry - 23/12/2014
Overall

I have just returned from my first Club Med holiday and it was fantastic. The hotel is spacious with a traditional feel to it. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. The club rooms are large for a ski resort rooms. A main highlight is the Indoor/outdoor pool, steam room and sauna were the perfect place to relax in after a days skiing. The restaurants serve a large selection high quality food, and the drinks flow at the bar untill late. I would definitely recommend Club Med.

CM Peisey Vallandry - 25/02/2013
Overall

So, we have just returned from our 4th stay at CM Peisey Vallandry and once again I have been reminded why this is the jewel in CM's crown. For those of you who have not tried a CM hotel before the whole package is all inclusive including flights, transfers, ski carriage if you have your own gear dependant on airline, more food than you can shake a stick at and given they are a french company the food is always of a high standard if not exceptional at times. The quantity of food and drink lends to our saying "Club Med - where food is never more than two hours away" - whether it be the full breakfasts catering for every taste under the sun through to the fantastic evening spreads which have a theme each evening but always supplying staples such as Meats, Fish, Pastas and endless salads and vegetable dishes... This year I put on 8 lbs !!!! That will be due to the patisserie chefs who go out of their way to tempt us.... Within the hotel is a team of GO's - staff who are there to mingle with the guests and socialise as well as performing various roles within the hotel. Vincent was the English speaking GO and Gold Member GO and he provided an outstanding holiday for us. In fact the whole team this year was pretty fantastic making it one of the best CM trips we have had to date. Lots of English speaking GO's even though the week we went there were only around 15 British guests. Its very multi cultural with Brazilians and Turks adding to the usual throng of French, Israeli, Russian and Belgian guests. Makes for an interesting crowd. The team was headed up by Eric, The Chief of the Village and he ran a great team - a really friendly crowd. Throughly recommended. The hotel is laid out in a series of large chalet style buildings all linked together and very much in keeping with the local village and is one of the prettier french resorts. Despite the fact the club is quite large there are many nooks and crannies to stow yourself away in to unwind after a day out on the slopes. The log fire in the bar area is always a favourite haunt of ours and we seem to be very lucky as when we come it there is always space for us to unwind with Hot Chocolate (drop a Baileys in it and its heaven!!!). There is a gym, swimming pool, sauna and steam room though they get busy... you can swim outside too... There is a spa for those who want pampering and kids clubs for those with children. Its all covered... The hotel is positioned right next to the Vanoise Express and is ski in/out. The ski service is in house and can provide all your requirements but book in advance as the prices in resort are double! The boot rooms have individual lockers with boot driers and a toilet which is always useful if ,like me, you always find that once you have your boots on nature always calls !!!! They stagger the departures of the inclusive ski school/hosting so it never becomes too much. Yes... the ski school/hosting and full area ski pass are included in the package and always had an English speaking guide/teacher. You choose what level you want to ski at and they group you together with similar levels so everyone is well matched. We skied from La Plagne through to Les Arcs though this time whilst we had loads of snow (5 days in total) the visibility was poor so we tended to stay in the Peisey area and I am glad we did as we found some great Blues and Reds which were virtually deserted during the day as most people had gone along the valley to Les Arcs or over the Vanoise to La Plagne. There really is a huge ares to ski and in 4 visits we still find new runs we have never skied before. Problem is after Peisey some of the other Clubs don't seem quite as nice as it really is that good. Would we go again - Already talking with Nick at Iglu about booking next year as they do such a great job sorting everything out for us and I would suggest you use Iglu rather than go to CM direct as Iglu provide better information than CM and can tailor your regional flights better than CM do. I cannot recommend this Club enough and hope to meet other Iglu customers there in the years to come as we will be going again and again....

Fantastic Holiday - December 2010 - 27/04/2011
Overall

Where do I start. Great all round service, the rooms are clean and spacious, the service was exemplary and the food options were limitless. There was never a shortage of cold beer at the bar and with the ski lessons as part of the package it made it easy to meet new people. The accommodation offers endless entertainment for adults and kids - I would highly recommend this holiday to anyone.

First Club Med Trip! - 16/09/2016
Overall

This was my first Club Med trip, having heard so much about Club Med I was keen to get out there!! The staff were so welcoming and got us all some drinks and nibbles straight away. They informed us of all information regarding ski lessons etc. The property is right on the slopes so you can ski back to it and the lift is just a 2 minute walk across the snow. It is also really close to the cable car that takes you over to La Plagne - which is super quick!! There is always food was amazing!! They have such a wide range from traditional French food to really simple food too which is perfect for the whole family. The drinks are always flowing and the staff get to know what you drink which is awesome. I would definitely be returning!
