Hotel Val Claret Reviews

As with most buildings in Tignes, the Club Med is not a looker. However, thankfully inside it's a much more pleasant affair - with relatively spacious (for France) bedrooms, a decent-sized bar and expansive restaurant. As ever with Club Med, the food was excellent and plentiful and the staff friendly and attentive. It's in an unbeatable location, right on the piste above the Bollin & Fresse chair and funicular in Val Claret.

Just got back from a great stay at Club Med Tignes Val Claret. This resort is perfect for an early or late season trip as it’s such a high resort with quick and easy access to the Grande Motte glacier and the extensive high altitude ski area. The hotel is in an unbeatable ski-in ski-out location and also close to the shops in the centre of Val Claret. The room was a good size, plenty of space for the 3 of us staying in there. Nice facilities including indoor pool with views over the mountain, sauna, and steam room. As with all the Club Med properties I have been to, the main highlight for me was the food - so much to choose from. Loved the selection of afternoon snacks and canapes in the bar after skiing.

I went to Club Med early December and the snow coverage was great. Most of the mountain was open and the resort quiet. Our room had a balcony overlooking the slopes which was great to wake up to every morning. The dinners were amazing with so much choice with every meal you never went hungry! Every evening there was some fun entertainment and was great ti sit on the sofas relaxing after a long day skiing with an all inclusive baileys hot chocolate in hand.

Just returned from Club Med Tignes and had an amazing time. Really friendly & enthusiastic staff as always and of course great food, especially the raclette! Love the fact the property is ski in ski out, super easy in the mornings and also great for going back for lunch. The rooms were spacious and we had a great view of the piste (standard club rooms). If you want to pop out in the evenings then the property offers a great location too, only a couple of minutes walk from the bars. I would highly recommend Club Med Tignes, especially for the early season skiing!

Generally we had a fantastic holiday. Extremey friendly and efficient staff in all areas. Bar facility and sun terrace very good. Would have liked a hot tub on the sun terrace! Pool very crowded so only used once. The room was better than we had thought since the man on the phone when we booked the holiday had said how basic and small it was, it was fine and had everything we needed. We don't have any children but I think their entertainment must have been good as we didn't really see any of the many children that were there when we were which was good for us. The food was generally very good but my partner did find and elastic band on some meat which had been carved for him and also was given some chicken not properly cooked through.
