Hotel Abendrot Reviews

The Abendrot is well-situated on a quiet little road close to the main ski lifts. You're close to the main apres area but we weren't disturbed very much overnight although that might have been because the current Covid rules meant venues had to close by midnight. The hotel is currently leased by a Scandinavian company who were all friendly and with good English. The sauna, steam room and wellness area were good with gowns and towels easily available. Food was good although we realised what we'd taken for granted previously with chalet board having 'free wine and water during dinner' and afternoon tea and cake as this was all paid for individually here as in most hotels. The cleaning was thorough and I would definitely choose this hotel again if I returned to Ischgl.

The ski lift is nearby which was handy for our sleepy group in the mornings. The Abendrot made a fab based for us. The town is quite lively which suited us. Top skiing and the Apres ski bar are very cool, I'd go back again.

A really nice property with spacious rooms and great food. located close to the lifts and you can ski back to very near the hotel. great resort - not really for families

Great hotel, centrally located, large rooms complete with toiletries, hairdryer and bath robes. Wellness area included two saunas, steam room and showers. Food was great with good choices. Staff friendly and helpful. Skiing was super as we were lucky to have great conditions. Ski guiding was also good fun. Plenty of apres ski for all tastes. Travel day was a Sunday which made transfers very swift. Overall we had a fabulous week.

We stayed in the Chalet Hotel Abendrot the week of 6-13th March. The chalet was great, with the rooms being much larger than in many chalets and the staff were helpful and friendly. The resort was also good, although extremely crowded as we had not realised it was holiday time in Germany. Apres ski in the resort was also great. Our only gripe was the poor quality of catering for one member of the group who required wheat free meals. He paid £35 extra, but in fact his meals mostly consisted of exactly what the rest of us were having, minus whatever he couldn't eat. He was rather left feeling that he had paid more for less. It was particularly noticable becasue the previous year when he wasn't charged anything extra and they catered for him really well. I guess this was a tour operator thing rather than Iglu.
