Bansko was a great resort for beginners. Small and easy to find your way around. 1st day fairly chaotic with ski and helmet fitting and really took out half a day. The pre purchased group lessons were not great with frequent instructor changes and in the end we all dropped out. Accommodation wifi fairly low

A friend and I arrived early in the Lion Hotel on Sunday morning the 18th March 2018 for a weeks skiing. No sooner had we stepped in through the door we realised this was a high class hotel. Over the week ahead this was confirmed by the copious facilities available to guests - swimming pool, jacusi, sauna and much more. Over the coming week we enjoyed a blend of skiing and inhouse friendly service and dining facilities that made our holiday a memorable one - all provided at a very affordable price. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone searching for a little adventure on the pistes, and then to relax in the jacusi and sauna concluding the day with a relaxing drink at the bar served by a friendly bar-tender

Despite reading very mixed reviews, we were seduced by the cost. The hotel and ski experience surpassed my (modest) expectations. Ski runs wide and well kept. Enough runs to keep me happy for a week. Good ski lifts (but be at gondola first thing in the morning!) Enjoyed ski school (included in the price). Good cafes on slopes. Hotel warm and welcoming. Wide range of food, although food could have been a little warmer. Swimming pool on cool side but ideal for some reasonable lengths, as many hotel pools are kept too warm. Excellent sauna and steam rooms. Staff are helpful and friendly; just treat them nicely and smile! The town itself is ugly; quaint or Austria it isn't, but functional. There was no snow in the town itself, but met it shortly after getting on gondola. There would be little to do for the non-skier. Overall, great value for money

Our lads holiday, including 5 lads and one girl to the lion hotel in Bansko was a great one. Igluski were by far the cheapest ski booking agent that we found when we were looking online. The flight with Thomas cook was unfortunately very poor with cramped leg space and very rude staff but the nielson rep was great. Everyone spoke English very well indeed. The transfer was ok, but they did stop for half an hour at a tourist trap which we all felt was a waste of time and unneeded. The hotel was the lion Bansko which we would all highly recommend. The swimming pool was great. The food was ok but the food out of the hotel was so cheap you had plenty of options. Sadly we didnt get much snow but there was plenty of ski slopes to cater. Overall 8/10
