Firstly despite some negatives we all had a brilliant time skiing in arinsal, pal and Arcalis. The snow was perfect and the weather was stunning (almost too hot) The hotel was clean, warm and generally ok - pretty basic but all that we needed, well except.... My girlfriend is vegetarian and despite the advance notice she had very little in the way of choice. In the evening in fact there was no choice, a vegetarian meal of some description would be produced and put before her, this was hugely hit and miss! The low point being a dollop of spaghetti with what looked like a tin of tomatoes on top, no effort had been made to prepare this meal, it tasted like it looked not very good at all. Another member of our team was ill after eating some sketchy looking goulash. This lead to us abandoning out half board status and eating out at additional cost. The service was s bit rough and ready with food just plonked in front of you. If your going to ski Arcalis check your lift pass. We went only to find our pass didn’t cover the lifts, turns out this was an error and our lift passes had been given to the other two members in our group (during a rushed snow brief due a late arrival) We had to spend 71 euros to ski, however In fairness to the rep he did refund us the money once the error was recognised - so this was just a little hiccup. The most important thing was the slopes and the skiing which were excellent and the ski school once again were superb. They took one of our party from complete beginner to skiing a black run in a week, they thoroughly enjoyed their lessons. Arinsal is fantastic for beginners.

Stayed at the Verdu. Read the reviews first, as you get what you pay for. Location was 5 minutes away from the Gondola. I was happy with my stay. Neilson ran the holiday, and it was well organised. No complaints. For a first time snowboarder, the instructors were good, and the slopes were excellent. But I don't have anything to compare it to. Overall, very happy with my first snowboarding holiday (solo)

This is a lovely little hotel, we had a family ski/snowboard holiday in January 2017. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room and lounge area was clean and food was great. Arinsal is a great resort for families and beginners with good value for money lessons and lift pass. Would definately visit this resort and hotel again.

Yes you know when you book in January it's a gamble, and on this occasion snow was in short supply, the arinsal slopes were poor and pal slightly better. However, Arcules was excellent and we took the free bus there everyday and had another great holiday. I would suggest in these circumstances the reps tried to help facilitate other less experienced skiers. More buses needed putting on and some influence with the ski schools to follow the snow would increase satisfaction for all grades of skier. We were ok and once again had a great holiday in our super accommodation, but I heard lots of others complaining about the Arinsal slopes and that they wouldn't return. It's a pity because it could have been handled so much better with a little influence from the big companies. Flights, transfers, hotel all excellent as usual.
