LAKE LOUISE - Easter 2011 - 25/04/2011
Overall

As first time family skiing in Canada we were a little nervous as exactly what to expect - after many years in France. We had timed it well with the snow the best its been 'for 15 years' - even with the late Easter. The resort was empty but everyone very friendly - would recommend the guided tours with the Friends of the Mountain who all very experienced. We skied with them each day we were there. Ski school was excellent with really good progress made by my 12 year olds. Lake Louise Inn (Bighorn Apartments) - very convenient and quite spacious. Food at LLI was fine, if slightly expensive due to exchange rate, portions far too big! All in would give this a good recommendation.

Review of Lake Louise - 08/04/2011
Overall

Stayed in Lake Louise in March 2011. This is a second year here. I cannot rate the resort enough. From the friendliness of the staff on the slopes to the wonderful quality and quanity of the ski runs. The views are absolutely stunning at the top of the moutains over Lake Louise itself and the mountain views seem to never end. Being a mixed ability family, it is lovely to know that you can go to the top of a mountain, ski down the other side and go back up and down another mountain in a number of different ways from green to black. The snow was referred to as champagne powder which should suggest to you have lovely the snow was. We stayed at the Lake Louise Inn which was more than enough for what we wanted. Very clean rooms with comfortable beds, nice bathroom and storage space for your skiis. Very nice pool area with jacuzzi etc. Restaurants were also very good. Would definitely stay there again.
