We were disappointed that the advertised Edinburgh flight did not exist and we had to drive to and fly from Manchester which involved an additional overnight stay. Grenoble airport is unable to cope with the volume of ski flights scheduled, e.g. there was 12 lots of luggage waiting to be loaded on carousel when we arrived! This process took 1-2 hours despite the efforts of the staff. The map issued of Belle Plagne by resort rep was both inadequate and erroneous and actual instructions given to get to the Welcome meeting also reflected even the he was unsure of how to get there. The crucial feature about getting around Belle Plagne village are the various levels and the key lifts otherwise you spend your energy climbing up and down 4-5 long flights of steps! On return transfer as the bus was late there a non-stop drive to Grenoble, 4 hours was a bit too long without a 'comfort' stop. The saving grace of our holiday was the ground level apartment which really did allowed ski out ski in access. The spa was a bonus for the non-skiing member and very pleasant. Similarly the local walks are worth exploring.
