Great resort and runs into town. The old area is best to stay in. No flat sections on the piste so no pushing or walking so is great for us snow boarders, just go up and ski down ideal!

Great resort, there are actually two board parks, the smaller of which is very good. There's lots to do for non skiers/riders. The schools seem to be very organised and professoinal. this is the best resort I've been to, can be quite exspensive though.

One of the best 'all round' resorts - 22/08/2016

Alpe d’Huez is a brilliant option if you have a group of mixed ski abilities or a large family group with lots of mixed ages as there is so much variety here. The ski area is huge with a fantastic mix of beginner, intermediate and expert runs. The apres and nightlife is one of the best I’ve experienced in France with a large range of bars and clubs across the town, including La Folie Douce at the top of the home run. Plus nearly every alpine activity you could name, you can do here. Snowboarders will also love it here with the lack of flats and lots of long ski runs. The views from the glacier are amazing and experienced skiers have got to try the 16km black piste Sarenne! I most recently stayed at Chalet Hotel Les Cimes which has brilliant access to the slopes and town.
