Ugly, windy and overpriced - 20/01/2022
Overall

The town has high altitude, easy slopes and great mountain views but the village is ugly, over-priced and very expensive-nearly as expensive as Zermatt which is much, much better. I rate Zermatt a 5 and Cervinia a 2-and I am being generous

Very windy Cervinia! - 02/03/2020
Overall

Cervinia has plenty of runs and access to Zermatt on a fine sunny day, however, it’s very high and so suffers high winds so this can disrupt lifts going up which we experienced ten fold which kind of ruined our holiday. I wouldn’t return for that reason unfortunately.

Great holiday - 17/02/2020
Overall

We wanted to try somewhere different for a change and Cervinia was a brilliant choice. A good variety of cruisy blues and pleasant reds from 2000 metres up to 3500 m. Plenty of sunshine but some lifts closed a couple of days due to high winds courtesy of storm Ciara so we couldn't get up to the very top or over the border from Italy to Zermatt in Switzerland but enough to keep us busy all week. The town is full of little restaurants and fashion shops, a different experience from the large (and efficient) purpose built resorts in France. The service in the ski hire shop (Cervinia 2001) was just amazing - so friendly and helpful, highly recommended.

Fantastic Skiing in Italy and Switzerland in 1 day! - 31/05/2019
Overall

Cervinia is fantastic for early season - late season skiing due to altitude! It is one of the resorts that you can rely on to be "snow sure". The runs on the Cervinia side vary from nice long blue runs to harder red runs and if you are looking for more difficult skiing you have the benefit of skiing in Zermatt as the resorts are connected, crossing a boarder on skis... Pretty cool! The village has the normal shops and restaurants every resort has and some good bars on the piste however, there are better places to go if you are looking for lots of apres ski!
