Overall

THe organisation and process of booking the skiing holiday was very good . Dealing with Iglu and subsequently Ski-World was very easy. We had no problems and found the staff to be very informative, helpful and efficient. we really enjoyed the holiday.

La Rosiere - 26/09/2014
Overall

This resort is really a hidden gem although not the biggest ski area when compared to some of the other French ski resorts, however there is plenty for a weeks holiday. There are some fantastic off piste routes and as its not as busy as other resorts it is easy to find virgin powder. La Rosiere shares a ski area with La Thuile in Italy and don't worry you don't need your passport. There are some great tree-lined routes as you descend towards La Thuile which are some of my favourite runs in the area. The food on the italian side is excellent and great value you for money, i would recommend Masion Carrell its a little hard to find but totally worth it and has some great views of Mont Blanc. My favourite restaurant in La Rosiere is Le Genepi which serves local food and there deserts are to die for. The best Bar to drink in is Le Petite Danois which means the little Danish which is open till 2am every day has great pizzas and serves Red Eric a Danish beer that tastes fantastic.

I Love La Rosiere - 26/09/2014
Overall

Great resort, although small compared to some other resorts there is plenty of skiing for a week, with some of the best scenery around. It is amazing that you can ski into Italy for lunch and some of the mountain restaurants over there are some of the best i have ever found, and great value for money. The skiing is nice and cruisey perfect for intermediates.

Review Chalet Cervinia - 09/04/2011
Overall

Chalet staff extremely good. Always around to help and the meals were exceptional, well done Emily. Only request would be that dinner is served at 19.30 rather than 19.00 as it gives you time to go wandering and wash beforehand otherwise you have to rush. Food on the slopes very good though we only went the Italian side for food and coffees (recommend Maison Carrel,Rifugio Lo Riondet, La Clotze Snowboard Bar and the most incredible Tagliatelle with Porcini at Ristorante Hotel Maison de Neige (off Piste 7)) . The local restaurants have a very good reputation and I can heartily recommend Le Genepi. Others in the chalet said L'Ancolie was very good too. A lot happens in La Rosiere so well worth walking down to soak up the atmosphere and sample the local wares. Snow was better in La Thuile and there was no wind there either but La Rosiere is a better base from which to venture. An excellent time.
