Very impressed by the central location of this hotel. Ski hire/ski school/bars/restaurants are all within a few meters of the chalet. The views of the mountains from my balcony looked like a high definition photo printed right in front of you, absolutely stunning. Sitting out on the balcony with a hot coffee every morning became a habit which are moments i will truly miss. Staff were always on hand to help and the food was good. Great value for money, will be booking Chalet Hotel Curling again.

Good location, but the nearby drag lift was only working on one day, so had a longer walk than hoped to reach slopes. Not a 4 * plus as advertised. No hair dryers etc as would expect. TV in lounge only managed to get occasional English programme. Hot tub only seat 4 & not the one pictured in the catalogue! Had to pay £35 supplement for gluten free, but sausages only available on last 3 days & bread not available with every meal & cereal ran out on 4th day. Hosts were excellent & did their best with resources available - a 1 litre kettle for a chalet for 16 people was not ideal! Food generally excellent for everyone else. Hosts found some table tennis balls for the table football, but darts were rubbish. Reps very good, helpful but not pushy. Great skiing area, Folie Duche worth a visit for lively après ski! Tignes Le Lac quiet in evenings which suited us. Sports centre worth a visit - we did badminton & table tennis.

I recently spent a week in Val Claret, the highest resort in the Tignes villages. Situated in the peaks of the Espace Killy with quick access to the glacier ski area and a wide range of runs from gentle rides to off peak thrills. The village centre has a nice choice of shops, eateries and bars. The village is purpose built and lacking in village charm but its location location location at the on top of the mountain and above the tree line makes up for its aesthetic beauty. Plenty of action both on and off the slopes. As darkness draws in, the doors of Saloon, 24/7 and Blue Girl spin to provide fun and the odd European surprise to charge the party ;)

Tignes for me was the perfect place to learn to ski. Friendly staff in the morning lessons and plenty of challenging runs for dare devils like myself to explore in the afternoon with friends. Stayed in a large basic hotel, but didn't mind as I was there for the snow and the nightlife. Tignes did not let me down when the sun set - usually ending up at the Melting Pot. Le lac and Le Lavachet have some beautiful chalets, so definitely worth checking them out. What is even better is you can get an area pass over to Val D'Isere! Amazing holiday.

I have just returned form a very good end of season's trip to Tignes having been tempted by a half price holiday offer. The well located 24 person chalet was comfortable but in need of updating, although our room was very spacious with the corner bath an absolute luxury. Staff at the Chalet were friendly without being too dominant, and always happy to help whenever advise or assistance was required. However end of season means supplies of food can run low, so next time I might be tempted to pack some teabags and salt. Having skied in the Espace Killy many times I did not need to make use of the complimentary ski hosting but others who did said it was useful as the area is extensive and can be intimidating for a first time visitor. The snow conditions at the end of season were pretty poor this year and better suited to experienced skiers. The day started with ice then spring crust followed by cement. I enjoy skiing slush as it is unforgiving so your ski technique improves, but for many others in the chalet it meant shorter days on the piste. Last word on the holiday was that everthing promised by the tour operator was delivered and there were no surprises.
