Excellent accomodation - 19/01/2015
Overall

The first good thing about this holiday was that we flew in and out of Geneva, a great terminal with plenty of room and good facilities. Transfer was a painless experience and the Chalet Hotel Verbier was one of the best we've stayed in. The food was very good, as was the wine with the meals. The practice of seating you at a different table with different people each night for dinner meant we got to know most of the other residents. I guess the only minor downside was that the Hotel location right in the centre of the town meant that you had to catch the ski bus to and from the lifts. Not a serious problem though. Our family room (54/55) had a balcony which caught the afternoon sun and we did actually get some sun, as well as some fresh snow. Plenty of scope in Verbier for a week of intermediate skiing.

Fantastic week - 07/04/2014
Overall

From Mary the GM right through all the staff, we were incredibly impressed at the level of attentiveness and efficiency. The food in the hotel was excellent, and getting to know other guests at dins was really good fun. Rooms are clean and comfortable. All in all, this was the best value ski week I think I have ever had. Couldn't recommend this hotel more highly.

Fantastic new year skiing! - 24/11/2012
Overall

Verbier for New Year... Absolutely amazing! I stayed at the Chalet Hotel De Verbier a over the new year period and in all honesty it was perfect. Hotel doesn't look like the Ritz but, for what you need on a ski trip it's perfect. Great central location right in the centre of Verbier, had the new year street party right out side and the Medran lift is about 4 min walk up the hill. All the main après ski bars/restaurants, like the Farinet, are located within easy walking distance - most under a minute. The food was great, really impressed to be honest - plus unlimited wine served throughout is always nice! The skiing? We were amazingly fortunate when we were there. Snowed solidly the first few nights, so was pow pow for the rest of the holiday! Verbier is so high and is part of the 4 Valleys area, so it's a snow sure resort most of the time and it definitely lived up to that. To sum up, if you are looking for a snow sure holiday with fantastic après and some challenging skiing look no further than Verbier, it has it all!

The hotel was right in the middle of town but it was still easy enough to get to the slopes. The rooms were warm and comfortable and there was plenty of food, especially the all important breakfast, although there were a few communication problems with the kitchen with regard to special diets. The bar was friendly and reasonably priced, which was handy as Verbier is rather expensive. It was the week before Christmas and the weather was very cold. The buses and lifts were efficient and we managed to ski the four valleys. There had been a fair covering of snow making it hard going on piste in places but fun when there was some gravity. Off piste was limited due to the weather and only one of the itineraries was open although our guide still gave us a fun morning. We would definitely go back to sample more of the skiing on offer.

Overall

The rooms at the chalet hotel were of a good standard, better than some other chalets we have stayed at. Food was also good with decent sized portions. No choice but this is similar to staying in a chalet. There is a good bar and lounge area. The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of verbier, very handy for the apres ski. An uphill walk to the medran lifts so I would recommend getting the free ski bus!
