Skiing in Hochsölden
Part of 144 km of slopes with Sölden resort but also a joint lift pass for the Sölden and Obergurgl-Hochgurgl ski resorts also unlocks 256km of slopes.
For intermediates, the red 21 run is a great one, offering turns through the forest and down to the valley. Beginner runs are located higher up the valley, so it is recommended getting an instructor as skiing into Sölden resort can be tricky with either a red or a black to ski down.

Après ski, restaurants and other activities in Hochsölden
Not for the keen après skier, Hochsölden is a resort for a quiet and chilled stay. For those looking for their après fix; it’s very easy to get to Solden where the action happens. But Eugen’s Obstlerhutte between Hochsölden and Sölden on the piste offers delicious Tirolean food and has live music on Friday afternoons. For traditional Austrian spirit, listen to oompah music above Hochsölden at the Giggjoch hub of pistes and lifts, a popular place to gather and unwind from a day of skiing.
Hochsölden is geared more towards families who want to stay in a quieter area that is also very easy to get out onto the slopes as it nestles right on the piste. There are however some great non skiing activities which are a lot of fun with the family. The no.3 run offers a 4km piste for night skiing and in Silbertal there is a 5km toboggan run that goes into the valley.
Other activities include ski touring, snowshoe trails and hiking.
