Hotel Edelweiss, Hochsölden, Austria
Hotel Edelweiss, Hochsolden
The resort of Hochsölden is known for its exclusive, high-end atmosphere – and this can certainly be felt in the Hotel Edelweiss. It’s a 4-star, family-run hotel that prides itself on offering Austrian hospitality and tradition with a touch of luxury.
Like most accommodations in this small hamlet, the Edelweiss is right next to the slopes – if you’re an intermediate or above, you can step outside, click into your skis and glide straight down to the lifts. Beginners may need to take the lift or shuttle bus, but it’s still a nice journey either way.
Mealtimes are a real highlight here. They offer a delicious and varied breakfast buffet, full of wholesome food to give you plenty of energy for the day ahead. In the evenings, you can look forward to beautifully presented dishes that taste as good as they look. There’s also a lovingly decorated bar where you can enjoy an afternoon snack or evening drink. Minimum dress code smart casual recommended.
No day would be complete without a visit to the lovely wellness area – there’s an indoor pool with stunning panoramic mountain views, as well as a Finnish sauna, steam baths, ice fountain and relaxation area. If you’ve still got energy to burn, there’s a small gym too.
At the end of the day, you’ll retire to your spacious deluxe room or suite, which will have all the amenities you could need, plus a balcony for making the most of the views.
