Chalet Stoanerhof Reviews
Was around the 7th/8th time I'd been to Mayrhofen but the first in a catered chalet. On arrival, we were greeted with drinks and was a nice touch that all staff came out into the dining area to introduce themselves. Chalet is in the Ahornbahn area and a 5/10 min walk to the Penken and other places - don't let this put you off as it's nice to stretch the legs after a day on the slopes! 3 course meal for 5 of the 7 nights were awesome! Ranged from fresh scotch egg starters to belly pork for mains and all tasted superb! Afternoon cake also on offer, although only had this once and that was great. Compliments to the chef! I can't remember his name though (sorry). Shout at to all the chalet girls for being helpful and friendly (Izzy and Jordan but can't remember names of other 2 girls). Accommodation is basic, as it most of the time in Austria but my friend and I enjoyed room 100 in the basement, plenty of space! Nice touch also that storage for boots and snowboards/skis were labelled for each room! As for the resort, we love it - hence why we've been back so many times! When there last week, bright blue skies for 6 of the 7 days and the Thursday night had fresh snow so perfect for the last day to blitz through the fresh powder! Book your stay here, you will have a blast!
Apres Ski: 4/5
In a field and with pretty views all round and just a short walk to the town centre, a really lovely place to base your holiday. Spacious, luxurious, good sound insulation, wonderful staff who spoil you and generous quality food. By traditional farmhouses and of course everything kept spic and span, Tyrolian standards are high.
