The Stubai is probably the best glacier skiing area in Europe. It's more extensive than Hintertux or Tignes and has an itinerary route to the valley of 10k or more. Good snow is guaranteed throughout the Winter months and well into Spring. The Viktoria is a friendly 4 star hotel, with a nice spa area. It is ideally located for the local lifts and for the bus to the glacier. Food is fabulous and prices are about half of what you'd expect to pay for a French two star in the Three Valleys. For bad weather days, Schlick 2000 has a small but varied ski area.
