Hotel Schonruh , Seefeld, Austria

We stayed at this hotel and loved it. Our room in the main building on the top floor above reception was much larger than expected (we don't know whether we had what was booked or whether we were upgraded). The food in the restaurant was great. Despite trying to resist overeating, the afternoon buffet was also much appreciated. The reception staff were friendly and helpful (speaking some German may have helped) and lent me trekking poles without charge. The swimming pool area (both indoor & outdoor) was great too - that was where the no children under 16 rule was really appreciated. My only slight negative was the insistence on no clothes at all in the spa area but, having lived in Germany, I know this is quite usual in many Germanic countries
