Bjelašnica ski resort
Bjelašnica is the highest ski resort in the country, so you should have plenty of snow. As for the skiing, make your way to the resort centre and wide-open beginner slopes are just a few metres away. Up on the mountain there are a handful of reds and blues, which wind down through pine forests back to the resort centre. Altogether, the ski area totals 12.5km of piste, so finding your way around is nice and easy.

Skiing in Bjelašnica
Bjelašnica hasn’t got many pistes, just 12.5km in total – but perfect for your first week on skis. There are nursery runs by the village centre to get you started, and wide, tree-lined blues nearby where you can practise your snowplough turns. After something more adventurous? Take the chairlift to the top of the mountain to tackle the slalom slope from the 1984 Winter Olympics.
