Alpin Hotel, Borovets, Bulgaria

After repeatedly hearing from a friend about Borovets, we decided to go. The resort is a grower , initially it looked like a load of higgledy piggledy shacks at the bottom of a mountain but after exploring the “shacks” we uncovered an array of great bars and restaurants where the food was great and the welcome really friendly. The slopes were crowded during our week but next time we’ll make sure there’s no clashes with European school holidays. Snow was superb and the highlight was the night skiing. Can’t wait for next year.
