Hotel New Solarium - Courchevel 1850, France

The New Solarium is a superb hotel that ticks all the boxes in giving you the most rewarding, relaxing break possible. Standing in the heart of the Jardin Alpin area of Courchevel 1850, it has expansive views across the resort and direct access to the sprawling Three Valleys ski area.

It's all about elegance and simplicity here, with its cosy and welcoming atmosphere. From the relaxing bar set around a central fireplace, where you can enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail or glass of wine, to the panoramic restaurant. Plus, every one of the 70 rooms is spacious, comfortable and tastefully furnished.

You can use the heated indoor pool and sauna whenever you want, and there are also professional treatments available for when you need that little bit more indulgence – the zen cabin is a firm favourite, with its variety of bio essential oil treatments. And if all the skiing hasn’t worn you out, you can spend some time in the fitness area to work up a bit of a sweat.

The hotel earns even more points when it comes to its attitude towards the environment. The New Solarium is committed to Travelife and, through all their amenities and facilities, work to ensure the preservation of the environment.

The New Solarium - 24/03/2011

Overall

A very nice, traditionally kitted-out Hotel. Beautiful rooms. It also has a fantastic as well as exclusive position with a chairlift just across the road. Make sure to use the sun-deck on a warm day to get lovely views.
