Chalet Altitude Apartments, Les Arcs 2000, France

Just completed a week at the Chalet Altitude. We had a 5 bed apartment, which was perfect for our family of 10. Excellent quality apartment, brilliant position, lovely view from the balcony and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Bedrooms were large, bathrooms good with masses of hot water, living room/kitchen enormous. We arrived early morning on the Saturday with 4 children having driven all night so were delighted that they let us straight into the apartment, unpack and we were out skiing by lunchtime. Swimming pool was a great bonus though it is deep so if children cant swim that could be a problem without adequate floats! On the last day we were able to leave the cars in the carpark, keep our towels and use the pool showers to change before leaving the resort at 5pm after skiing all day. So 8 days skiing instead of the usual 6 with no hassle. The only thing people should be aware of is the poor choice in the local supermarket so you have to go down to 1950 for a decent shop and its expensive. If you drive take a weeks food with you like we did - saves the effort of shopping and money!
