Upon arrival into resort we were met by the chalet hosts, Sarah and Matt. After a short walk to the chalet, they guided our group around the chalet facililities and advised us of meal times. The bedrooms are of a decent size for the accomodation, all being with en-suite bathrooms. The view from our balconcy was absolutely divine. Our first meal was delicious, (as was all the meals) and we all new from the start that this was going to be a great holiday. After a long, hard days skiing, it was a lovely treat to come back to a delicious baked cake every day and then relax all the tired muscles in the sauna/steam room. Overall, for accommodation, Chalet Koala has all that is required for a relaxing and rejuvenating stay in Les Arcs 2000.

Les Arcs 2000 - 09/04/2011
Overall

We went to Les Arcs 2000 in early March 2011. There was plenty of sun, but the lack of snow meant that the ski conditions weren't great. Chalet Koala is a lovely chalet. Two of our rooms had a balcony looking out, and the communal dining and living area was warm and comforting. The chalet staff were lovely, and the food was great. They were especially good at catering to some of our quite specific dietary needs. They were also very friendly, as were the other guests in the chalet - I've never stayed at a friendlier chalet! The chalet was very near to the piste, and right next door to a ski hire place, so everything was super convenient. The Les Arcs 2000 resort itself is fine. The only minor point I'd make is that we didn't find a really nice bar to drink in - the ones there were usually a bit too noisy for us. Anyway, I recommend the resort and the chalet. We're thinking of going back there ourselves next year!
