Tignes 2100, Tignes Le Lac, France

My husband and myself stayed in Tignes 2100 over New Year. The hotel was fairly basic, but comfortable and served amazing food. The staff were incredibly helpful, there is a cosy bar to relax in and that sells cheaper drinks than elsewhere, and New Years Eve was made special with the tables being arranged differently, lovely food and champagne at midnight. The area is brilliant for skiing and snowboarding - with a wide range of terrain for all abilities. Being able to go across to Val D'isere is well worth doing and is a lot of fun. Be sure to visit La Foille Douce any day after 3pm for some dancing on the slopes!

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent; there was a buffet breakfast and 3 course evening meals from a set menu. The rooms were basic and a little small but clean. Towels were changed during our week stay. It was a 5 minute walk to the ski school meeting point. Happy hour at bar was good otherwise the drinks can be expensive.
