Aspen Lodge - Juniper, Val d'Isere, France

We had all we needed and our transfer etc. ran smoothly. The room and chalet were very comfortable, and the communal area and hot tubs were great for socialising and meeting others in the lodge. We weren't given any advance notice of meals which lead to some wastage. According to the blurb we ought to have been offered pancakes on one morning, and mints after dinner, which never materialised. Although pleasant enough we could see our host was tired and eager to leave each evening. Therefore we felt reluctant to ask for anything that might detain her, even if it ought to have been offered. The location was great for the slopes. The chalet offered a ski-bucket which was a treat. Concierge was most helpful. Beer on tap was a definite bonus! We would happily return to Val d'Isere, and would consider VIP Ski again.
