Chalet du Montet - Val d'Isere, France
Specially built for us in 2012, this charming Chalet Hotel is our Val d’Isère flagship! It is ideally located in Le Fornet, one of the most picturesque parts of the resort, and provides a fantastic base for those looking to be first on the mountain.
Chalet Hotel du Montet is only approximately 4 minutes’ walk from the main Le Fornet cable-car giving direct access into the Espace Killy ski area, and from the shuttle-bus stop (which runs until midnight / until 2:30am in high season) for the short ride to the resort centre. The regular free ski-bus is also useful in the mornings if you wish to start on the Bellevarde or La Daille areas for a change. At the end of the day, experienced skiers can ski directly back to the hotel via an unpisted track.
The du Montet is actually a top-to-bottom conversion of a traditional stone farmhouse, and where possible – as you can see from our photo above – the owner has left the rustic original stonework exposed. The interior meanwhile has been totally re-fitted to an exacting and extremely stylish standard throughout, with superbly equipped bedrooms, complete with TV/DVD players, iPod/mp3 docking stations and Wi-Fi as well as en suite bathrooms. The fantastic facilities are completed by a spa area, ideal for unwinding after a long day on the mountain.

**Important changes to catering for Ski Season 2018/2019**
Evening meals will be on 5 nights.

Guests will continue to receive breakfast for 7 mornings, afternoon tea and cake for 5 days and 5 nights of three course evening meal with quality complementary wines during meal service.
Ski Season 2017/2018 will remain as 6 nights.
Breakfast
A skiers’ buffet breakfast is available every day, including porridge or cereals, tea, coffee, fruit juice, bread (including croissants in France), cold meats, cheese, fruit and preserves. In addition, our cooked breakfast offers your choice of bacon, eggs, sausage and baked beans. (On the staff’s one day off per week, the Continental buffet is available, but not the cooked breakfast.)
Afternoon Tea
After a tremendous day’s skiing or snowboarding, return to a hot drink and a selection of freshly baked cakes and savouries (daily except on staff’s one day off). Tea and coffee are also available free throughout the daytime in all our Chalet Hotels.
Evening meals
4-course menus served six days each week, accompanied by a choice of complimentary quality wines (including rosé). Dinner starts with canapés and an a glass of prosecco, followed by a starter, main course and dessert or cheese selection to finish.
Vegetarian options are always available, and other special diets can be catered for at a supplement, if booked with us in advance.
One evening each week your Chalet staff have the evening off, enabling you to choose from one of the local restaurants for that evening’s dinner, which our Resort Representative will be delighted to help you book.
