Hotel Engel
The traditional, 4-star Hotel Engel is located in the resort centre of Schluderns with its restaurants, bars and shopping facilities. The lift in Trafoi is located approx. 17 km away and Sulden approx. 20 km. The authentic hotel comprises a main and side building. The general facilities of this original guest house include a reception and entrance area, lift, Wi-Fi (only in main building), lounge area with fireplace, children's playroom, breakfast room, dining hall, a la carte restaurant and terrace. In the in-house cellar bar "Dorfplatzl", there is live music played twice per week. The approx. 1,000 m² large spa area on two floors offers and indoor pool, as well as a fitness room, steam bath, sauna, ecological sauna, Finnish sauna, saline sauna, experience sauna with salt grotto, experience showers, jacuzzi, counter-stream system, waterfall, relaxation pool, Turkish Hammam and organic sauna. If booked and paid for locally, there is also the solarium and massage treatments available. The hotel offers a 3-country ski safari on a daily basis (as per notice in the hotel, day lift passes have to be paid for locally) with transfer and 1 - 2 hours of ski lessons. Further, once per week there is a "Gaudi" night tobogganing event with live music (payable locally), as well as a ski-testing day each Monday. The ski room is fitted with a work bench, free parking spaces can be found at the hotel (based on availability, parking garage for a fee). Rooms All rooms are renovated and offer a shower/wc, satellite TV, hair drier, radio, safe, mini bar (payable locally) and depending on the chosen room type, there may be a balcony or terrace available. All rooms in the main building further have a telephone and Wi-Fi reception, as well as Internet access. The apartments in the side building offer a living/sleeping area and separate bedroom, as well as a kitchen. Board Already included in the holiday price is half-board, which includes a small breakfast buffet, a starter buffet as well as a 4-course evening menu with choice of main dish and salad buffet in the evenings. Vegetarian menus can be arranged, upon prior request. Further, the hotel offers various themed evenings, some with live music. On Christmas Eve (24th Dec.) there is a Christmas dinner with cookie buffet, mulled wine, punch, party and a visit from Farther Christmas. At 22:00 the midnight mass is held and a Christmas concert with trumpet and horn players is organised in front of the hotel. On the 25th of December, half-board includes a large 5-course Christmas menu. On New Year's Eve a special dinner is also served, which must be paid for in resort. All meals are served in the main building.
