Customer service - 10/03/2020

Location: 9/10 we couldn’t have been much closer to the slopes. Food: 6/10 great selection, poorly presented and could be of a better standard. Water was also charged for despite being half board. Restaurant service: 9/10 very accommodating staff and friendly. Hotel service: 1/10 this has no reflection on the maid, however the front of house lady was very rude, a number of other parties mentioned this. Ski/board/ boot room 3/10: this is located at the front of the hotel, however there are no lockable facilities for our somewhat expensive equipment, we were also told the room would be locked at 6pm to ensure our kit was safe, having returned home most evenings beyond 6pm the room was certainly not locked, leaving it open to theft.

Hotel desperately needs upgrading - 14/03/2023

It should have been a great hotel, characterful and attractive from the outside and a good location. On the plus side, there's an attractive bar, a decent breakfast (I didn't have dinner at the hotel) and Aldo, front of house and bar, was delightful. My room however was very disappointing. I know it was a single but there was virtually no storage - a few drawers and hooks on the wall would have made a difference. The bathroom was tiny, with a tiny wash basin, no towel rail (hooks on the back of the door only), and in the shower I ended up bruising myself it was so cramped. And worst of all was the 'drains' smell - so strong I had to keep the balcony door open the whole time. I did mention it to the management and I know that if the hotel was completely full they wouldn't be able to find another room, but an apology or acknowledgment would have been welcome - none forthcoming. I'm afraid I wont be staying at the Hotel Sauze again.
