"For skiing the world masterpiece of the Sella Ronda, the Soldenella in Selva is great accommodation choice. A large chalet, built in typically Tyrolean style and recently refurbished with modern features, the Soldenella comes recommended as a great place to stay in a world class resort. "

Chalet Soldanella - Selva, Italy

Guests have been delighted with this lovely chalet in Selva and its renovation in typically south Tyrolean fashion, with an eye for taste and style certainly appealed to guests over the last few seasons.

The interior of the chalet was completely refreshed with modern furnishings, so the bedrooms are all glowing with fresh wood panelling, with comfortable bedroom furniture and tasteful fabrics adding to the fresh ambience. The en suite shower/wc rooms boast stylish fixtures and fittings, and all have the bonus of a fitted hairdryer.

The dining-room and lounge both match the traditional, yet up-to-date feel, and offer our guests welcoming communal areas in which to share convivial meals and conversation, and the views from the lounge balcony are simply stunning!

The Soldanella is conveniently located, just 3 minutes’ walk from Selva’s lively resort centre and within easy reach of the ski-lifts and slopes. You can ski down to the Ciampioni gondola via the piste just 20m away, or access the Dantercepies lift system from the nearby village centre. Approximate Transfer time to resort: 1 hour 45 minutes

**Important changes to catering for Ski Season 2019/2020**
Evening meals will be on 6 nights.

Breakfast
Start the day with a cooked breakfast including your choice of bacon, eggs, sausages and beans, as well as a continental selection with a choice of cereals or porridge, fruit juices, plentiful tea, coffee and bread (and croissants in France), cold meats, cheese and preserves, which is normally presented buffet-style for you to help yourself.

Afternoon Tea
A delicious homemade cake accompanied by hot drinks will be laid out for you every day except on the staff’s one day off per week.

Dinner
Our three-course dinner menus start with an glass of Prosecco followed by an appetiser, main course and dessert, accompanied by a choice of complimentary wines, with coffee or tea to follow.

Vegetarian options are available if advised in advance. Other special dietary requirements must also be advised to us at the time of booking in order for your chalet hosts to be fully prepared and incur a charge of £35 per person per week to cover the cost of additional ingredients. Failing to book special dietary requirements in advance can incur additional supplements in resort.

On your Host’s day off, they will leave a simpler continental breakfast out for you to help yourselves, there is no afternoon tea on these days, and you can dine out locally in the evening. Your Resort Representative will gladly help out with information and make a reservation for you if you wish.

Children's High Tea
We serve a separate High Tea at 5:30pm for children aged 10 years and under with an appropriate menu and pureed food is available for infants on request. Parents must accompany their children at high tea. Unless children are part of an ‘exclusive use’ whole-chalet booking in chalets, it is not possible for children aged 10 years and under to eat at the adult sitting. When part of a 'exclusive use' whole-chalet booking children may eat with the adults for a supplement of £39 per child if they have received child discounts.

Great location for massive ski touring - 28/02/2022

Overall

Selva was a revelation. There is a huge amount of skiing (mostly on-piste and red runs) but very scenic. You'd need at least two weeks to do it justice. Not great if you've got some in ski school and some competent skiers as the link between the two areas are not great so breaks up the day. Otherwise thoroughly recommended. We stayed in Chalet Soldanella which was a good mid-priced option. Very friendly and good access to the lifts (5 mins). Iglu Ski was very helpful throughout.

Review of Selva ski holiday, 13th-20th February - 16/04/2011

Overall

As a group of 26 we had the luxury of taking over the whole of Chalet Soldanella. First impressions were good, the chalet had obviously undergone recent refurbishment and the bedrooms, lounge and dining room were spotless. The meals were all up to an excellent standard and the cakes and tea in the afternoon were very much appreciated after a hard day's skiing. So, all in all, top marks for the chalet and staff. As for the resort itself, Selva and the surrounding Sella Ronda ski area was seriously impressive. I've been on plenty of ski holidays and I think the scenery and views are the most impressive I've seen. Plenty of mixed runs to attack and no chance of getting bored. In summary, great chalet and resort with a group of fantastic friends.
