When it comes to convenience, Park Hotel Vossvangen is the one to beat. Not only are you on Voss’ main street, in the very middle of the resort, but the pretty shores of Lake Vangsvatnet are right outside. It’s a great spot for skiing too. The Voss Gondol carries skiers up the Hangurstoppen and serves as the town’s only access point to the slopes – it’s good news then, that the hotel’s less than a 2-minute mosey from the lift station.
When you’ve hung up your poles for the day, there are some treats to look forward to at Park. Your first stop might be at the Café Stationen – a cool, train-themed hangout for light bites and coffees to keep you chugging along. For bigger bites though, head to Elysèe, where you can sample extravagant 7-course à la carte meals – by the by, this is also where you’ll find breakfasts and evening meals if you choose to upgrade.
Another highlight has to be Park’s wine cellar. You can be sure you’ll find the perfect accompaniment to your meal, as the resident sommeliers are ready and waiting to advise – it’s even home to the 2020 winner of Norway’s Best Sommelier award, so you’re in good hands. After you’ve eaten, you may want to enjoy a glass in the Pianissimo piano lounge, to kick back and enjoy the vibes.
